DESCRIPTION: We do Spanish...not very expertly, but Spanish nevertheless. We also have some fun doing it.

Some of the activities we cover are;

Crossword puzzles to help with vocabulary;

Reading novels aloud to help with pronunciation and getting our tongues around the language;

Translations of materials from magazines, newspapers and others to help us understand the language;

Translating sentences for grammar awareness;

Looking at pictures for practice at describing things in Spanish;

Coffee at half time for recovering.

The Spanish language can be very evocative; consider some political slogans on banners paraded by the “Mothers of the Disappeared” in La Plaza de Mayo, Buenos Aires.

El miedo es una carcel sin rejas.

La dignidad se defende con la vida.

Un revolucionario no hay tumba que lo encierre.
